'Hill Drawings' Exhibition in London

Melvyn Robinson’s complete Hill Drawings series will be exhibited in full for the first time at Cecil Sharp House, London.

11 September 2026 – 15 January 2027

Inspired by the landscapes, folklore and traditions of South Yorkshire, Hill Drawings brings together Robinson’s drawings, poems and folk songs — exploring the connections between image, place and memory.

There could be no more fitting setting for the exhibition than Cecil Sharp House, home of the English Folk Dance and Song Society. Dedicated to celebrating and preserving the folk arts, it provides a natural home for Robinson’s work and its deep connection to landscape and tradition.
